You also can’t miss the Meadows Center, a world-class environmental facility offering educational experiences and a must-do glass bottom boat tour. WHAT TO DO - Explore downtown - Everything is so walkable! The downtown is perfectly set up for shopping at the many vintage stores. - Glass Bottom Boat Tour - You really cannot miss this experience! The water is crystal clear, loaded with wildlife, and has a very interesting backstory. - Aquarium and Wetlands Boardwalk - While you’re at The Meadows Center, check out the aquarium and wetlands boardwalk. While on the wetlands boardwalk, we saw a beaver’s home and even a few deer! - River Trail at Ramon Lucio Park - Such a beautiful trail to explore. The water in this river is also crystal clear and the area is so scenic! - San Marcos Outlets - The nicest outlet malls we’ve ever been to with an impressive selection of stores. WHERE TO EAT - @thecoffeebarsmtx - Awesome spot to start the morning with some coffee. - North Street - North Street serves up incredible Indian-inspired cuisine. The Curry Queso is excellent!! - Blacks BBQ - Get your BBQ fix at Blacks! One of the best beef ribs we’ve eaten! - Blue Dahlia - Blue Dahlia might be the cutest bistro you’ll ever visit! The food was delicious, and you have to dine in their Secret Garden! WHERE TO STAY - Fairfield Inn San Marcos - Comfortable and great place to stay with complimentary breakfast!
