Giving Peace From The Heart (Middle States Accreditation Project)
MAY PEACE TALK
Virtue: Unconditional love-- to think of others first: to forgive and be friends again.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
Peace Awards: Recall the virtue for each month and the person or spiritual reference associated with that virtue. Award all the children a Peace prize for displaying a specific virture.
Peace Party: Celebrate the gift of peace with your children by planning a special party. Invite the parents to the celebration. Students can share with them what they learned about peace during the year.
Peace Parade: Plan a parade with your children. Students can sing songs of peace, carry signs and pictures illustrating peaceful ways and parade through the hallways of school. This can be a reminder to thw entire school community that peace begins with very young children.
Special Activity from October
Mix It Up Day was held on Tuesday, October 18th. Each class paired up with another class to sit together at lunch and to participate in fun outdoor activities outside. We participated in this national project to help promote diversity within our school environment.
