Upcoming Events

Crazy Hat Day (classes will have a theme and students who wish to participate will create a crazy hat at home to wear to school.) The cost is give from the hear or $1; it will benefit the Get Well Gabby Foundation.  Date TBA

Currently Student Council Members are working on Boys Night Out and Girls Night Out for students in grades K-4.  A fun night of dinner and activities is being planned and more information will be coming soon!

A Student Council Car Wash to benefit the Austin Dilianni award will be held this spring; look for more information soon!

Student Council members have recently begun mentoring students in grades K-3 in subject areas such as math, spelling, study skills, etc..  S.C. members take this job very seriously and are doing a great job, the students they are tutoring are having a great time too.  Who knew studying could be so much fun!  If you would like your child to have some extra tutoring please contact your child's teacher.  Mentoring takes place during lunch recess on Wednesdays.

Recent Events:  

Riley Nowakowski and Chris Kellogg are collecting new Easter outfits for boys and girls sizes infant to 16; to benefit The St. Agnes Day Room, the Coatesville CYWA Family Center from now till March 28; clothes can be sent to St. Basil the Great School.

Ellen Lynch is currently collecting soda can tabs to benefit the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia

Danielle Acuna ran a very successful Jeans for Teens campaign; the school collected over 50 pairs of jeans which were donated to Cradles to Crayons in Conshohocken.

Ashlyn Duda ran a New Book Collection for the Get Well Gabby Foundation over Christmas; she collected over 25 books; this collection has been extended by the foundation so if you will still like to send in books we are collecting them in room 8

Mary Bernotas and Brianna Misciosia held a can food collection before Christmas for St. Mary's Shelter; the girls collection was very successful

Lexie Dilianni is running a program to benefit our soldiers over seas; over the Christmas holidays Lexie and her committe made cards which were sent to the soldiers for Christmas, she will continue the project for the entire school year, making cards for Valentines Day, St. Patricks day etc...

Keep up the good work; we are very proud of all your good works!!!!

Lolly pops are being sold in the 8th grade in the moring and during break for $1

Our Gold  Dress Down Day to benefit  Pediatric Cancer which was on Friday Oct. 18, raised $285 which was given to the Get Well Gabby Foundation.

Mission Statement:  Student Council membership is an honored position.  Its officers and members work and strive to promote peace, citizenship, scholarship, leadership, and cultural values among our school family.  The members of St. Basil the Great Student Council are chosen as leaders and are called on to be outstanding examples to all they serve.
