Prayer Shawls

St. Basil’s Women’s Fellowship has an enthusiastic group of ladies who knit and crochet Prayer Shawls. These Prayer Shawls are available for persons who are ill, in nursing facilities or experiencing difficulties.

Each stitch in a Prayer Shawl is a prayer for the recovery in body and spirit for the person who will receive it. A priest blesses Prayer Shawls and they are meant to bring comfort, warmth, hope, peace and healing. The Prayer Shawl signifies love we have for those who are shut-in and unable to join us at Mass. When a recipient is wrapped in a Prayer Shawl they will feel a bond with our parish.

If you are aware of anyone who might like to receive a Prayer Shawl, please email Betsy Amalong  or call 610-933-6450
